New Pattern Collection!

A little inspiration goes a long way!

Last year for Mother’s Day, my brother surprised me with some flowers. A bouquet with lots of daisies, some roses and a few other flowers mixed in. I was still working my way through my pattern design course and taking photos of every flower and plant I could find to bank inspiration for future projects. I had taken the flowers home, put them in my workspace and a few days later decided to take some photos of each flower to use as a drawing reference at another time.

A few months later, I took my Ipad and tried drawing one of the daisies. It looked really good and I was excited to try to make something with it. I ended up uploading my sketches to Adobe Illustrator, recoloring it & adding some handpainted leaves. This pattern just had a really nice flow to it, the colors I ended up with all went so well together and just had such a good feel to it. I love the larger scale of the floral for an accent wallpaper or bedding, while the smaller scales makes some really sweet baby clothes, accessories or stationary. I added some blender prints and my Bloom collection was complete!

Who knew one little flower could inspire so much! I love that I took a really sweet surprise from my brother and created such a lovely collection to remember it by. And hooray! I have an official collection that I am so excited about! It was my goal for the first quarter of this year and I am feeling really happy to be able to check that off my ‘to-do’ for this year! There’s a lot on there, so it’s a great feeling that one of the big ones is done! 🥳

I have more plans for another few collections this year, if you’ve taken the time to read this, thank you so much! I hope you check back to see new work in a few months! In the meantime, I’m going to enjoy this collection and get in touch with a few fabric company’s and hope they will add my collection to the site! Wish me luck! In the meantime, you can find my new prints over on my Spoonflower shop! Feel free to leave a comment below and let me know your thought! ❤️
